The Long Hard Road To Winning More Wars

If you know my clan SHAOLIN on clash of Clans you know we have had a really long and arduous road to finally starting to win wars again. It seems like Clash has marked us as the Bad news Bears of Clash of Clans we constantly get Paired with messed up uneven match ups where our 1 TH 11 and 2 TH10's get paired up against 3 TH 11s and 2 TH 10's etc... Sometimes we're like WTF? this is ridiculous, but we plug on and make sure every member still gets in their two attacks because that is the only way you will ever win wars is if everyone in the war gets in both attacks.

However recently even with bad match ups we still have managed to increase our recent war wins to a good 50% we win some we lose some, where in the past we used to just constantly lose. Our pst war record was a sea of RED marks now we win 3 lose 2 win 2 lose one etc... a much better record as of late. Part of the reason for this is we have been a little less lenient and have made sure everyone understands if they are upgrading troops or spells they should set their war preference to RED (Out of war) we also have excluded anyone that has missed one attack in a previous war and if they continue to do so after they come back from their mandatory penalty leave from war we just kick them now.

It can be hard kicking members that have been with you for a while, but we want everyone to understand that while this is a game winning more often makes it more enjoyable so if you aren't going to be a responsible player and take yourself out of wars when you know you will be travelling or upgrading heroes etc then we simply can;t have you around anymore. We have a few members that opted to basically stay permanently red and just donate and receive troops in a more casual leisurely fashion and that is fine. But if you guys are like us and have been struggling to win wars for a while the answer might just be to kick out the members that are dragging you down.The same goes for clan members that ask for thousands of troops but don't donate much at all. It is acceptable for most of the lower players because no one wants low troops but mid to high level players should be donating troops whenever they are on.

Hey guys, we started the SHAOLIN Clan on Clash Royal we have only 4 Members right now but have a whopping 80 card donations per week so you know all of us are very generous. It is a lot harder to build up a clan in Clash Royal than it is Clash of Clans as Clash of Clans has a really active Global Chat which makes it easier to recruit people all the time. And being that I am in Champion 1 and close to Titan most of the time I don't even have to recruit, I simply say Hi and people start asking to join my clan. But on Clash Royal the people That have joined have been people I battled that didn't have clans that I later invited.

Shaolin Clash of Clans Coming up On Our 2 Year Anniversary

We are quickly approaching our two year Anniversary at the same time the game itself is coming up on it's 4 Year Anniversary (which subsequently is tomorrow August 2nd by the way) They apparently launched publicly August 2nd 2012. I joined clash of clans myself much later in Christmas of 2013 (wish I'd kept my Christmas trees and presents from that year, I didn't know they would have different trees each year)

We're expecting a possible 1 gem week long boost update, possibly a clan perk 2x XP points for clan wars and update and / or a few surprises for the Clash Of Clans Anniversary this Tuesday August 2nd.

Our Shaolin Clan has managed to increase our win ratio lately and are finally winning wars more often again. We even managed to win 3 wars in a row then failed a war and won 2 more in a row.

Unfortunately had to let go of a few people that have been with us for a while. Just get tired of excuses that constantly lose wars, you know the ones "I had no internet connection" "I was working" (apparently for 24 hours straight with zero breaks) There's really no excuse for consistently missing attacks in war. I mean the game has new features that let you opt yourself out of war so there shouldn't be any reason for someone that is about to go on vacation or that is upgrading their queen or their spell factory to be put in war. And with 24 hours to attack and shorter training times now there should be no reason someone can't get 2 attacks in the war within a 24 hour period.

Our war record is looking better in recent times even if the past record is still dismal at only 37 Wins, 191 Losses, 3 draws out of 231 Wars total . It's going to take time to even that record up. We're a level 7 Clan and are slowly inching our way up to level 8.

We have thought about starting the clan over from scratch because when people look at the record it is the past they look at and not the future. But then we will lose all the perks we worked hard to get. In Shaolin Kung Fu the saying in sparring is "do not judge me for who I was yesterday for I am not the same person anymore" a person should constantly grow in skill and knowledge and if you expect me to be the same you will most likely find yourself looking up at me from the ground.

Shaolin Clash of Clans Clean Up

Had to kick out a ton of people again for not using their attacks in the war or for being stingy with donations. It's been rough lately finding new quality members, they either don;t donate or don;t attack in wars or both. We have a good solid set of 17 Main members right now that all do well we just need to add another 10 or  more good players. But always wading through the muck to find those rare gems gets a little tiring.

Mass Witch 3 Star Attack On Max TH10 - Best Clan War Attack Ever? Clash ...

Another expensive but effective attack strategy is an all witches and heroes attack

At 250 per max level witch this is very expensive in terms of Dark Elixir costing a whooping 250x20= 5000 dark elixir which I swhy I personally prefer balancing my arttacks with different troops. But I may start using 4+ witches in the future Mixed wth Golums and pekka etc... Probably closer to a GoWiWI or Go Wipe. I am the leader of my clan and a lot of times I donate often, so much so that I hit 7000+ troop donations quite often. And with everyone always wanting different troops I have to keep a pretty diverse army anyway, so I tend to have slight fluctuations in my troop configeration each time I attack. I tend to go with a balanced approach of 2 Golums, 1, 2 or 3 pekka 2 witches a shitload of wizards and a few archers then go all in, sometimes I throw in a few baloons or a few hogs if I notice people ask for those in their troop requests.
